Rail Strikes Set to Cripple UK Transportation in February and March

Upcoming strike dates
London and the West Midlands are set to face severe rail disruption this weekend and into February and March due to planned industrial action by the Aslef union.
The strikes will affect Avanti West Coast, East Midlands Railway, and West Midlands Trains, with no services running on the following dates:
- Friday, February 2, 2024 (24-hour strike)
- Saturday, February 3, 2024 (24-hour strike)
- Monday, March 5, 2024 (24-hour strike)
- Wednesday, March 7, 2024 (24-hour strike)
- Friday, March 9, 2024 (24-hour strike)
- Saturday, March 10, 2024 (24-hour strike)
Further strikes are possible in March, but specific dates have not yet been announced.
Aslef, the union representing train drivers, is engaged in a dispute with 14 train operators over pay and working conditions. The union has rejected a recent pay offer, claiming it does not meet their demands.
