Vikings WR Justin Jefferson is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with his hamstring injury, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
This is a significant blow to the Vikings' offense, as Jefferson is their most dynamic playmaker. He led the NFL in receiving yards last season with 1,809 and was a First-Team All-Pro selection. He also had 88 catches and seven touchdowns in 2022.
The Vikings will now have to rely on other receivers to step up in Jefferson's absence. K.J. Osborn and Ihmir Smith-Marsette are the most likely candidates to see increased roles in the offense.
The Vikings are scheduled to open the regular season on September 11th against the Green Bay Packers. It is unclear if Jefferson will be ready to play in that game.
